Cancer Treatment Specialties

The Sarah Bush Lincoln Regional Cancer Center treats a wide variety of cancers and blood disorders, treating predominately breast, colon, and lung cancers and lymphoma.

Our patients are able to receive cancer treatments that are not readily available in other parts of the state or nation. Through the Regional Cancer Center's affiliation with the National Cancer Institute, the University of Illinois, Chicago and Barnes-Jewish Hospital, our on-staff cancer specialists have access to experimental drugs and protocols. The Regional Cancer Center is also closely affiliated with the Hoosier Cancer Network, Inc., an organization that gives the medical staff and the patients of the Regional Cancer Center the opportunity to benefit from the expertise of the academic world. When presented with a hard-to-treat cancer, the doctors present their cases to their peers in these organizations to ensure the best minds are focused on creating a treatment plan.

The nursing staff is certified in oncology and follows the Oncology Nursing Society guidelines. The group practices evidenced-based medicine and remains current with the medical community.
